Hey, I’m Alex

I help startup and scale-up teams design and improve processes, get projects done, set goals and create other management infrastructure

Tactical Consulting

The Problem

As it grew rapidly, your company likely experienced some or all of these issues:

  • half-finished projects gathering dust in a drawer

  • scattered knowledge as people come and go

  • chaotic processes

  • lack of alignment from top to bottom

  • diminished visibility for founders and investors

The approach

Traditional strategy consulting often ends up with a ton of very nice slides but no work actually done. In my tactical consulting approach, I roll my sleeves up and get in the trenches with you: to finish that project, redesign a process, purchase a piece of software, align on goals or OKRs, create extensive documentation. It’s cheaper, too.

Services

Interim management

Temporary replace long-term absentees (parental leave, sick leave, etc.) or fill a new position while you’re waiting the 6-9 months a recruitment process takes

Software purchase and implementation

Purchasing a piece of software is deceptively time-intensive and the wrong choice could prove quite costly. If you know you need to automate some part of your team’s work but don’t know where to start, this service is for you: all the way from initial market research to go-live

Project Management

Have a project that’s been sitting in a drawer and now needs to urgently get out of there? Best suited for cross-functional projects where a neutral PM is a must

Goal-setting/OKRs

Alignment of a company’s strategic objectives to its teams’ and employees’ day-to-day work leads to an improvement of 15-20% in results, and an even greater increase in employee satisfaction. OKRs are my preferred method for goal setting but not a must

Process (re-)design, documentation and continuous improvement

Processes are boring. And necessary, if you want to scale successfully. If your team is overwhelmed with busywork, or you’re always relying on that one person who knows how everything works, it might be time to set down some processes, document them, and look for improvement opportunities

Post-merger integration

Ready for your first acquisition? You probably have some fantastic lawyers and financiers guiding you all the way through it… all the way, that is, until the deal is signed. You’re on your own after that. Over 70% of M&A deals fail to achieve their intended targets - don’t be part of the statistic!
